All About Me

My name is Mike Doberman.  I was born January 20, 2000.  My birth name is Triadel's William Shakespeare.  I come from a long line of champions.  My grandfather was twice international world champion.  I had an empty life until I met Bob.  I'm not to be feared but if you're looking for a dog to play with try Snoots, Sammie or the Beags.  I like to follow Bob around and check out everything he does.  If he is sleeping I follow Valerie around.  I love to eat and usually get a little taste of whatever Bob has.  Valerie hardly ever gives me anything, she thinks I'm a little overweight.  But really I'm just big boned.  I do a lot of exercising all day long and taking care of my pack keeps me pretty busy so whenever I get a chance I sack out on the couch with Bob.

I have graduated from every class available to me in a thirty mile radius.  I love going to classes but Valerie doesn't have the time anymore like she used to.  I am a very obedient guy but there is no one more manipulative than myself so I am used to getting my way.  Although I don't get away with much with Bob, he thinks like a dog.  He & I play a lot of jokes and tricks on Valerie and most of the time they are pretty funny and everybody has a good laugh.  Once in awhile she ends up getting a little mad and guess who gets in trouble.  Me, always me, never Bob.  It wasn't always like that, when they were married on June 6, 2004 things changed a little bit.  That's okay though, I was glad that they got married.  I was the ring bearer in the ceremony.  I like that Tom Collins guy and I think he likes me too.

Well I have to get going now because it is bockwurst  treat time.  Sometimes I get served my treat on the couch but not tonight because Valerie just put a freshly washed couch cover on.  So stay tuned and check back as I add my life experiences to this website.

May 12, 2005

I guess the years are beginning to add up.  At the insistence of Bob I was taken to my veterinarian for a complete checkup.  Head to toe!  Bob said I just wasn't myself.  He was right.  Arthritis is beginning to set in, especially in my rear left knee and it hurts.  I have some cartilage problems that also hurts a lot and I need to lose seven to ten pounds.  The good news is that the cartilage problem should clear up with the proper care and medication.  Valerie needs to warm massage me four times a day for the next 2 months and I'm getting like Bob, I have to take medicine everyday for the rest of my life.  So it's time that I start to take it a little bit easier around here and let the girls start to take on some of the duties and responsibilities that I am faced with everyday. It is a lot of responsibility and danger but I think if I split it up between them and ease them into it they will do okay.  After all Snoots and Sam are 3 1/2 years old now and they have been laying around relaxing while I took care of everything for long enough.  Little Beags will still have it a little easier, she is only going to be one year old the 28th of this month.
